The Covid-19 or coronavirus has been affecting the way we live and we work all over the world.
In Singapore, our government has just implemented “work from home” order for the period of 7-April to 4-May, but our operations will continue as normal.
Unitex company has been one of the model companies well endorsed by our reputable Singapore business communities. Financially we have been very strong today with net cash position with zero debt since 2010. As a 25-year-old company, we have learned many valuable lessons from 1998 Asian Financial Crisis, SARS 2002 and 2008 US Housing Financial Crisis.
As such, our prudent financial management have harnessed our internal capabilities to weather any global crisis or pandemic. Moving forward, we are planning to expand further when the situation improves.
In Unitex, we are taking the maximum precaution while continuing our commercial and production activities. We follow the stringent guidelines recommended by our government, such as raising the awareness among our employees and associates, observing the personal and workplace cleanliness and hygiene, avoiding any close physical contact, wearing a mask on situation when close contact is unavoidable, providing employees with masks and hand sanitizers, allowing unwell employees to rest at home for five days, etc. For the machines and parts to be shipped from our factory, we follow international good practices, always sanitize the parts and their packaging and fumigate the cargo before sending it out.
We are pleased to inform you that till date all our employees are safe and healthy. All of our production factories and offices are functioning as usual and we have been building extra critical inventories to mitigate any possible disturbance to the supply chain in the next six months.
